Esprit de Corps is the motto of the West Point class of 1977. Our class fought in every one of our nation’s conflicts from the invasion of Grenada to the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. We chose that class motto as the name of our non-profit. Some of the members of the class of are featured in our documentary film about veterans. In addition, veterans from the class were part of our production team. We thought the motto made a fitting a name because it captured the core message we were trying to get across in our documentary Veteran Nation. Our nation needs to address veterans issues as a team. We are all in this together. The kind of nation we become tomorrow will turn on how we treat our veterans today. The picture, by the way, is from our 35th class reunion at the academy.
